From Bratislava airport to Vienna

M. R. Štefánik Airport also called Bratislava Airport, located approximately 9 km northeast of Bratislava city center on area of three municipalities is the main international airport of Slovakia.

By train

In order to catch a train to Vienna You will first need to go to Main railway station (Hlavná železničná stanica). You can do that by taking a bus number 61 (or N61 at night). Train station is last stop. You can see bus schedule below:

There are a lot of trains running daily between Bratislava and Vienna. They are operated by ÖBB (Austrian railways) and ZSSK (Slovakian railways). Check ÖBB and ZSSK timetable before Your trip. Tickets can cost between €10 and €18 depending the category of train and time of the day. The trip takes about an hour. You will arrive at Wien Hauptbahnhof but train also stops at Wien Aspern Nord Bahnhof, Wien Stadlau Bahnhof and Wien Simmering Bahnhof.

By bus

There are Slovak Lines, Flixbus and Eurobus operating from airport to Vienna. The bus stop is located in front of the Arrivals Terminal. Final stop for every bus in Vienna is Vienna International Bus Terminal.

  • Flixbus

There are several departures each day. Tickets usually cost €7 or €8 and You can book it online. The trip is 80 minutes long. You can check Flixbus timetable here.

There are several departures each day too on Eurolines. Tickets usually cost €5 and You can book it online. The trip is 90 minutes long. You can check Eurolines timetable here.
